Symposium Poster

This is a poster I designed for a symposium on autism spectrum disorder. This is the first of the series. I decided to play into the common themes of the cause, being puzzle pieces and the blue. These themes played into the formation of my tagline for the event, “Putting the pieces together”.

Challenges

The challenging aspect of this piece was how I wanted to break up the grid for information and how to get my puzzle pieces solution. I experimented with a number of solutions, but the two-thirds approach seemed best, informing me to perhaps use it again when displaying information. The puzzle was harder and required me to actually buy puzzle pieces that I re-cut puzzle pieces from the dollar store to experiment with shape and form.

Outcomes

From this project, I learned grid organization. More importantly, I learned how to experiment in the physical realm to further my digital delivery.
